We Love Donations!

We could not provide for the cats in our care without the support of people like you! We’re funded entirely by your generous donations and staffed by volunteers. It’s a labor of love, and we hope you’ll stop by our shelter some time to see the lives your love helped save.

Cat Guardians, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) organization. Your contributions are tax deductible to the extent provided by law, and go primarily to caring for the cats and maintaining the shelter they live in. We also do outreach to our community, spreading the word about our cats, our shelter, and the plight of stray & feral cats everywhere.

Wish List

Why not pick up a few things on our wish list and bring them to the shelter! Each donated item reduces shelter expenses and helps us meet our goals.

What we need most:

  • Clumping clay based litter (preferably Fresh Step or Arm & Hammer)
  • Feline Pine wood based litter: this is used for kittens and cats who have had medical procedures
  • Iams Proactive Health dry food: We feed a mix of Hairball (orange bag) and Sensitive Digestion (pink bag)
  • Canned cat food: We feed a variety of canned foods that are high in meat protein to tempt our kitties’ appetites
  • Gift cards for Pet Supplies Plus, Petco, Petsmart, Target and Wal-Mart: lets us buy any supplies we may be short of

Other supplies that we also need:

  • Meat only baby food (Chicken, Turkey, or Lamb): this can tempt a reluctant eater or help a cat with medical issues
  • Paper Towels
  • Air Freshener/Deodorizer Spray
  • Laundry detergent and dryer sheets
  • Feliway Multicat Calming Diffuser Refill
  • Stamps

Sponsor a Cat

Even if you are unable to adopt a cat (or just want to help a needy one) you can make a difference by sponsoring one. A number of our residents are unlikely to be adopted due to their age or because they have medical or behavioral difficulties. Also, many are just patiently waiting to find a new home. Funds are needed to provide for these cats, and you can help by sponsoring any one of our cats.

A $20 contribution (includes a $3.00 shipping fee) is for a one-month sponsorship, which includes:

  • Biography and picture of the cat
  • Certificate of sponsorship
  • Gift of Appreciation

Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery. As a sponsor, a monthly contribution of $20 would be greatly appreciated; however you are under no obligation to make further contributions. To become a sponsor, just fill out and mail in the form below with your donation. And, of course, feel free to stop by the shelter to visit your “sponsoree”!

If you’d like to learn more about some of our sponsorship cats, please check out the video below. While our beloved Scooge is no longer with us, his advocacy on behalf of his kitty pals at the shelter continues!

All of our residents are available for sponsorship; however some are more in need of support than others. Please browse our “All Adoptable” and our “Sponsorship” pages to select your sponsoree.
