Posey

Posey’s story started when she was abandoned by her family. They were moving and rather than taking her with them or to a shelter, they just left thinking, “someone will care for her.” She wandered around the neighborhood scrounging for water, food and shelter. After a concerned neighbor was able to trap her, they turned to Cat Guardians for help. Just six blocks from the shelter, we picked her up and headed to the vet. Posey had a myriad of issues going on including extreme dehydration, heart murmur, anemia and had to be hospitalized for five days before the vet felt comfortable releasing her. With all that she’s been through, Posey is all about the love! She adores people, being petted, and is highly affectionate. Posey may not be adoptable but she will enjoy being inside and cared for by our volunteers.

2021-04-17: Sweet little Posey left us today to cross the rainbow bridge to be with the other Cat Guardians cats who’ve lost their battles over the past year. She was deeply loved.
