Rusty

Rusty was found last fall 2013 coming to our yard everyday. We believe he was abandoned. We trapped, neutered and chipped him before returning him back to the neighborhood, since he was deemed not friendly. Well, that non friendly cat turned into a very friendly cat after a long hard winter. We fed him everyday and built a shelter for him. He started staying closer and closer every time we fed him. Eventually, Rusty took treats from our hands, lick our fingers. Then he started to rub against our legs and then let us pet him. On cold afternoons, he would sit on my husbands lap and take a nap. In the spring 2014, we decided to have him checked out by our vet before bringing him in, like Rusty wanted. He tested negative for everything, so we brought him home where he is now safe. Rusty is a male 2 1/2 yrs. old. He loves to play by himself and loves for you to play with him. He loves lasers, mice, wand toys and of course treats!
We have 3 cats of our own, so we would like Rusty to go to a home where he can be king. We don’t know how he would be with children but he does like cats.
If you would be interested in Rusty and giving him his forever home, or have questions about him, please contact me drakemom05@sbcglobal.net.

2017-09-15: Rusty’s mama was able to keep him.
