Smokey

Smokey is a beautiful grey feline with a friendly and super-affectionate personality. She came to us by one of our sponsors who found her outside during a subzero January day. Our sponsor took Smokey in to get spayed but then put her back outside when her own cats didn’t accept her. That’s when she decided to call us.

Smokey is an exceptionally sweet kitty who craves attention. She loves being stroked and scratched under the chin and is an easy cat to fall in love with. She would need a quiet household without any other pets and is looking forward to the day that she will become a beloved family member. She is in good health other than having food allergies which is controlled with a special prescription diet. Smokey will be your lifelong friend, providing you with all the head-bonks, nuzzles and soft cuddles you could ever want!

2017-01-30: Smokey has been moved to “For Sponsorship Only” status, due to a diagnosis of cancer.  He will receive special care in the home of a volunteer.  We do welcome donations to cover the cost of a veterinary care for this pretty, young girl, as all medical expenses are carried by the shelter (an entirely volunteer-run organization that does not receive government funding).

2017-11: Smokey passed after succumbing to cancer.
