Designer

When Designer first came to us, she was quite scared and preferred to hide whenever the volunteers were around. We’ve been working with her and she is coming out of her shell (and out of the cat carrier where she used to hide!). She loves playing with toys on strings, and getting pets with a roller we use with our more timid cats. She now sits out and watches us as we clean in her area, and she even will sniff fingers and rub her chin against our hand. We are thrilled with the progress she is making!

But unfortunately, she has tested positive for feline leukemia. We will take her back to the vet in a couple of months for retesting, to confirm the diagnosis. And from there, we are committed to providing her with the best medical care possible and an enriching and loving environment! If she continues to make progress in her socialization, it may even be possible to place her in a loving, and understanding home. Whatever her future holds, you can trust that we will consider her interests first and do what’s going to be best for her!
